The CountrySide Education Project offers education to disadvantaged children in rural Cambodia. This popular project now has over two hundred students and its current facilities have become too small. Moreover, there we are planning to expand our project to include a kindergarten. Therefore we are planning for a new and bigger school building. We will be using repurposed shipping containers, that provide a relatively cheap, quick and sustainable option.
For the design of the building, we are receiving help from architecture students from CamTec University. They organised a design competition and the winning group will help us further with the design. Later this year, we are welcoming two Civil Engineering students from the University of Twente, who will be helping us with sustainable building solutions. We hope to being able to present a beautiful new building to you in a few months time. This new building will allow us to expand our project and help even more children build a brighter future.
