Dom-ray provides scholarships for disadvantaged Cambodian youngsters. These students will then use the knowledge they acquire during their studies to undertake their own projects that can help their community. This way, it is not only the student who benefits from the scholarship, but the whole community.
One of these students is Horn. Horn will be starting his final year of ‘Animal science’ soon. He did some research to find out what is needed for the community development project he wants to undertake. He interviewed villagers to find out what aspect of animal farming they want to learn more about. The results of his research show that the farmers would like to learn more about raising chickens. He will develop a training program and help the villagers start up their own small chicken farms. A great project!
